Jacopo Tissi is the new principal dancer of the Dutch National Ballet, the official Dutch ballet company. The young dancer from Pavia, born in Landriano in 1995, had become étoile of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, the first Italian to do so, in January 2022, but only after a little more than a month, shortly after the start of the war in Ukraine, had he left the Russian theater. “I am shocked by this situation that hit us overnight and, honestly, for the moment, I find myself unable to continue my career in Moscow,” he had written on social media. “I feel empathy for all the people and their families who are suffering.
