From Monday almost all of Italy in yellow zone. For exhibitions and museums, nothing changes

As of Monday, January 10, 15 Italian regions and autonomous provinces will be in the yellow zone. For exhibitions and museums, however, nothing will change: there will be the same measures as before.

As of Monday, 15 regions of Italy will enter the yellow zone of measures to counter the spread of Covid-19: Piedmont, Lombardy, the provinces of Trento and Bolzano, Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Liguria, Marche, Lazio, Calabria and Sicily will be joined by Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, Abruzzo and Valle d’Aosta. Only Umbria, Sardinia, Molise, Campania, Puglia and Basilicata will remain in white.

For the culture sector, however, nothing will change from the white zone. The entire cultural sector will remain open, although accessible only to those with the enhanced Green Pass (or “Super Green Pass” as it may be called), that is, only to those who have been vaccinated and healed for six months. It will therefore be possible for those with this type of certificate to continue to attend cultural venues.

Therefore, museums, exhibitions, cinemas, theaters, archaeological sites, monumental complexes will be open. The color change for the regions of Italy fortunately does not mean closures for the sector. On the contrary, it is good to continue frequenting these places: after all, it has been proven that the risk of contagion is minimal in places of culture if basic safety measures are observed.
