Banksy officially recognizes one of his works in Borodyanka, Ukraine

Banksy's confirmation comes after images of murals attributed to him in Borodyanka, Ukraine, were published in recent days. The image the artist attributes to himself, however, is only one.

They are most likely Banksy ’s murals that appeared in Borodyanka, Ukraine: the British street artist confirmed in his own way, namely by posting an image of a work on his Instagram profile commenting laconically with two words, “Borodyanka, Ukraine.” It is, however, a different work than the murals that had been photographed Tuesday night by photojournalist Ed Ram, and then re-released on social media.

Initially, in fact, there were two murals photographed: a child knocking out Russian President Vladimir Putin during a judo match, and two children playing with a Frisian horse. Banksy posted instead a photo of another mural, a gymnast performing a figure, left above the wall of a ruined building. For the moment, therefore, the only work that is definitely his is the one he officially acknowledged. A total of five works attributable to him, however, would be found in Borodyanka and two other locations: one in Irpin and one in Hostomel. Always photographed by Ed Ram, a photojournalist who has long been on Banksy’s trail.
