Tickets again available for the major Vermeer exhibition at the Rijksmuseum. Here's how to buy them

For thelast weekend of the major exhibition at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam dedicated to Vermeer, the museum has decided to extend its opening hours: in fact, the exhibition will be open until 02:00 on the nights of Friday, June 2 and Saturday, June 3. This is to allow about 2,600 more people not to miss this important exhibition event. Tickets for the exhibition will then be available again: potential visitors should request them through the Rijksmuseum’s website.

To be eligible for tickets, visitors must apply by 5 p.m. Friday, May 12, on the Rijksmuseum website. The Rijksmuseum will select successful applicants using a computer-generated random selection process overseen by a notary. All applicants will be notified by e-mail no later than Tuesday, May 16. Successful applicants will be able to purchase a maximum of two tickets for an evening start time from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on Friday, June 2, or Saturday, June 3.

The Rijksmuseum, given the high demand, wants in this way to give Vermeer lovers one last chance to see the exhibition on the famous Dutch painter that brings together as many as twenty-eight of his masterpieces from around the world.
