Incancellable Victory, Emilio Isgrò's new monumental installation for the city of Brescia

On October 27, 2020, Emilio Isgrò's new monumental installation, Incancellable Victory, will be inaugurated in Brescia.

From October 27, 2020, on the occasion of the return of the Winged Victory to Brescia after two years of restoration, the new work by Emilio Isgrò (Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, 1937) will be visible on the north wall of the Metro’s Stazione FS station.

It is a monumental installation of about 200 square meters entitled Incancellabile Vittoria: the work is composed of 205 milled fiber cement panels and represents the silhouette of Winged Victory rising from the famous artist’s characteristic erasures.

The initiative is curated by Marco Bazzini and is promoted by Fondazione Brescia Musei and the Municipality of Brescia, with the contribution of Brescia Mobilità and Metro Brescia, the artistic coordination of the Emilio Isgrò Archive, the support of The FabLab Milano and the support of the Romeda Fund for Contemporary Art.

Incancellable Victory will be donated by Emilio Isgrò to the city of Brescia.
