A Milano una doppia mostra su Helmut Newton ed Ellen Von Unwerth esplora il mondo dell'erotismo

Dal 20 settembre al 16 novembre 2024 la Galleria d’Arte Glenda Cinquegrana Art Consulting a Milano presenta Eroticism in Fashion Photography, la doppia mostra dedicata ad Helmut Newton ed Ellen von Unwerth a cura di Glenda Cinquegrana. La rassegna mette in dialogo due fotografi uniti dall’erotismo e dalla sensualità della donna, elementi caratterizzanti la propria visione molto personale della fotografia di moda e di celebrity. L’esposizione ospita più di venti immagini vintage in bianco e nero e a colori e vede una selezione di ritratti di supermodels e celebrities, paesaggi, polaroid. Di Helmut Newton sono esposte foto vintage che vanno dagli anni Settanta ai Duemila tratti dai portfoli Rosalyn at Arcangue degli anni Settanta, fino al Woman on a Level Four scattato a Monte Carlo negli anni Duemila; un ritratto di Ava Gardner degli anni Settanta fino ad uno di Kristen McMenamy degli anni Novanta; infine, uno scatto della serie Sex & Landscapes. Di Ellen von Unwerth sono presenti in mostra stampe di cui il ritratto di Claudia Schiffer per Guess degli anni Novanta, alcuni scatti delle supermodels Naomi Campbell, Linda e Christy; Monica Bellucci e Vincent Cassel; alcune immagini significative della serie Revenge, fino alle iconiche fotografie a colori degli anni Duemila. Helmut Newton negli anni Ottanta realizzava il doppio scatto Sie Kommen (Naked/Dressed) ponendo al centro della fotografia di moda il corpo femminile, elemento significante della personalità della donna, capace di costruire una narrativa scandalosa e potente, che prende il potere sul suo stesso corpo, sui media. A partire da questa visione i fotografi delle generazioni successive, come Ellen von Unwerth, hanno ampliato il racconto che è divenuto sempre più immaginifico. La Von Unwerth mischia erotismo al sense of humor. La mostra sarà accompagnata da un catalogo digitale con testi di Davide Manfredi, agente worldwide di Helmut Newton dal 1980 al 2004, e di Glenda Cinquegrana, pubblicato dalle edizioni Glenda Cinquegrana Art Consulting.
