With The Theater Told by Mickey will tread the world’s greatest stages thanks to the stories The Alambrah Theater Presents: Le furberie di Scapino (scripted by Francesco Artibani and Lello Arena for drawings by Silvia Ziche); Sior Papero Brontolon, published in 1992 for the bicentenary of Goldoni’s death (script by Sandra Verda and drawings by Sandro Del Conte); I bis-bis di Pippo - Il capolavoro di Shakespipp (story by Alessandro Sisti for drawings by Giuseppe Dalla Santa), where one of Pippo’s countless ancestors grapples with a play before the Queen. Closing the collection is Phantom Duck and the Fugitive of the Grand Variety-written by Sisti, with drawings by Silvia Ziche-with protagonist Arthur Bracchetto, Mickey’s homage to Arturo Brachetti, who comments on the excitement of finding himself in 2008 for the first time between the pages of the magazine: “Arthur Bracchetto is one of the characters I was most honored to play! Mickey Mouse is still on my bedside table, I read at least one story before falling asleep, he is my ’good night and sweet dreams. A return to the sweetness of childhood. The magic of Mickey then is not only in its content, but also in its smell, unique, like so many others that bring back beautiful things, like the smell of grandma, cookies, books. Those scents last forever, and they make you feel good....”
A 144-page collectible volume that raises the curtain on the stage of great plays and timeless authors.
