He has held his current position as Franceschini’s chief of staff since September 2019.

Casini was supported by the presidents of Lazio and Napoli and the teams linked to them, while the group led by Inter, Milan and Juventus supported Andrea Abodi, who, however, was ultimately not voted in as he lacked the necessary support.
