The confirmation that everyone was waiting for today has finally arrived: go the Conte government, the expression of the majority in Parliament composed of the 5-Star Movement and the Northern League. The council of ministers will be sworn in tomorrow, June 1, 2018, at 4 p.m. The new minister of cultural heritage, as we had already predicted, will be Alberto Bonisoli, already indicated by Pentastellist leader Luigi Di Maio during the election campaign as a possible man to lead the Collegio Romano. The new minister, Head of Institute of NABA, the New Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, will have to lead the Ministry of Cultural Heritage (keeping also the delegation to tourism: therefore, the separation ventilated in recent weeks has not occurred) at a time when the main priorities concern labor: from the recognition of qualified professionals to the issue of turnover. In the March 4 elections, Bonisoli stood on the grillini’s lists in the Chamber, in the Milano 1 uninominal constituency, obtaining 13.8 percent of preferences (not elected), behind Bruno Tabacci of +Europa (41.2 percent, elected), Cristina Rossello of Forza Italia (37 percent, not elected) and ahead of Laura Boldrini of Liberi e Uguali (4.6 percent, reprimanded).
Born in 1961, originally from Mantua but a longtime resident of Castelletto Ticino in the province of Novara, Alberto Bonisoli is an expert in education management and international project design and development. Since 2013, he has been leading the Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda, an association whose goal is to promote and strengthen the Italian fashion education system, in order to consolidate institutional relationships and design a certification system for fashion schools that guarantees their quality at the international level. Throughout his professional experience, Bonisoli has served as a consultant to public, national and European Union institutions, as well as to universities in more than 20 countries, helping to draw up innovation and development plans in education, research and training.
From 2005 to 2007, the newly appointed minister held the position of Senior Consultant at the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research, working on the definition of integrated programs to facilitate the adaptation of Italian research and development programs to the EU framework: roles that confirm a certain familiarity with institutional environments and that hint at a collaboration with the Ministry of Education, for which Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte has appointed Marco Bussetti. Among his academic collaborations, Bonisoli boasts a multi-year one withBocconi University, at which he taught Innovation Management and directed numerous international partnership projects. He has held the position of director of NABA since 2012.
