Minister of Cultural Heritage Dario Franceschini has praised theArt Bonus, the initiative that guarantees a tax credit to anyone who makes liberal disbursements in favor of cultural assets in need of restoration or other work. The measure was introduced by Franceschini himself in 2014 and to date has rallied 13,600 patrons who have helped 2,200 properties for a total of 3,460 interventions.
“The Art Bonus,” Franceschini said during the inauguration of the restoration of the Royal Gardens in Venice, “works and has exceeded 410 million euros in donations over five years. Tax relief in favor of culture, which has become a model throughout Europe, is a success story. This is demonstrated today by the return of the Royal Gardens to the citizens and visitors of Venice in their beauty thanks to a story of love and generosity, which Artbonus made possible.”
From December 21 to January 7, the new institutional campaign to publicize the Art Bonus will be on air on Rai radio channels and TV: there will also be space for the campaign on the social channels of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage.
