Zeffirelli Museum in Florence reopens

On Tuesday, September 3, 2019, the Zeffirelli Museum in Florence reopens after the summer break.

Visitors will then be able to participate in the educational activities and all the organized initiatives: from September 28, free guided tours will be scheduled in the morning of every last Saturday of the month. From October, the monthly appointments with Archivio mai visto will also resume: themed visits to the museum and library where unpublished documents from the maestro’s personal archive will be shown. (In the last months of 2019 the main themes will beHamlet (in October), the 1966Florence flood (in November) and Zeffirelli and America (in December). Each appointment with thenever-seen Archive will be replicated in English the following week.

As part of the 2019-2020 programs of the Zeffirelli Foundation, there will be Sundays dedicated to children, a number of concerts (the first is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 8, at 11:30 a.m. in the Music Room) and a series of lectures focusing on the maestro’s varied activities.

The museum venue will then be open to visitors every day, except Mondays, with the usual 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. hours.
