This app, which is part of the project initiated by Google ’s Cultural Institute to attract people to the world of art, has already been available for two years in the U.S. for the Android and iOS operating systems, but it is only now experiencing great success, thanks to the new “Is there a portrait of you in a museum?” feature that has propelled the app to the top of the app store charts.

How it works is very simple: just take a selfie and, through a facial recognition process, within a short time your face is associated with the painting that most resembles it. The result can be shared with friends and family on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Unfortunately, this feature of the app is not yet available in Italy and other countries around the world, however, users are writing in the comments section of the Google Play Store for it to land in their country as well.
