More vandalism in Rome: this time against the Fountain of the Tritons in Bocca della Verità Square.
The well-known fountain was found filled with motor oil.

The Capitoline Superintendence and the Capitol’s Infrastructure Development and Urban Maintenance department immediately cleaned the fountain’s basin with the help of a specialized company, but carabinieri are still investigating the culprit.

Deputy Mayor Luca Bergamo condemns the act, which damages one of the city’s symbolic monuments and denotes a lack of civic sense and respect.
