Visit to Rome for the UK Royals: yesterday, April 8, His Majesty King Charles III and Queen Camilla visited the Colosseum Archaeological Park, welcomed by Culture Minister Alessandro Giuli and Park Director Alfonsina Russo. Before starting the tour, the royals greeted a group of students from English schools in Rome and attended a performance by the music bands of the Grenadiers of Sardinia and the Welsh Guards.
Also accompanying the royal couple on the tour were Deputy Minister of Labor Maria Teresa Bellucci and British Foreign Minister David Lammy. During the visit, Charles and Camilla met with Barbara Nazzaro, an architect official responsible for the restoration of the Arch of Constantine, as well as a delegation from five Italian NGOs: Modavi, PeterPan Odv, Santa Maria degli Angeli, Associazione Differenza Donna and Binario 95.
The event concluded with a special meeting: Charles and Camilla ended their visit in the company of Alberto Angela.
