The Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities in Cairo announced through a press conference that there are no secret chambers in Tutankhamun’s tomb.
The announcement was made after a campaign of measurements carried out by researchers in Archaeo-Physics at the Polytechnic University of Turin: the measurements were carried out through geo-radar, an instrument capable of making waves penetrate the ground to detect possible empty spaces and hidden corridors.
The hypothesis had been advanced by British Egyptologist Nicholas Reeves; he had also thought that the pharaoh’s tomb might have been part of a larger tomb belonging to Nefertiti.
