The Pecci Center in Prato, one of the most important contemporary art centers in Italy, has finally resolved the “director question”: the Foundation for Contemporary Arts in Tuscany has in fact appointed as its new director Cristiana Perrella.
An art critic and curator, Cristiana Perrella served for ten years as head of the Contemporary Arts Program at the British School in Rome and currently serves as curator of the Golinelli Foundation in Rome. She has curated exhibitions at prestigious venues such as MAXXI in Rome and Fondazione Prada in Milan. Incidentally, in the past Cristiana Perrella had attended, between 1991 and 1992, the course for young curators organized by the Pecci Center itself.
Cristiana Perrella prevailed over a batch of nine candidates that, besides her, included Alfredo Cramerotti, Corinne Diserens, Angel Moya García, Camilla Mozzato, Marie Muracciole, Arabella Natalini, Stefano Raimondi and Marco Trevisan. From the editorial staff of Windows on Art, good work to the newly appointed director.
The Pecci in Prato finally has a new director: she is Cristiana Perrella |
