Today in Rome, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, the Egyptian Museum of Turin and the City of Catania signed a memorandum of understanding for the implementation of cultural projects in Catania. The signing of the protocol was attended by Evelina Christillin, president of the Egyptian Museum Foundation, Enzo Bianco, mayor of Catania, Luisa Papotti, superintendent of Turin, and Dario Franceschini, minister of cultural heritage.
The first project will be the creation in Catania of the temporary exhibition Missione Egitto 1903-1920 and a museum exhibition “Egyptian in Catania.” The Egyptian Museum and the Sicilian municipality will also collaborate on projects concerning the Egyptian and Hellenistic cultural heritage present in Sicily.
