Starting March 5, 18App, the €500 culture bonus for 18-year-olds, is back.

Back again this year is 18App, the government-sponsored initiative, now in its fourth year, which provides €500 for new 18-year-olds to spend on culture. The implementing decree for the Culture Bonus was published yesterday in the Official Gazette.

Thus, fromMarch 5, 2020, the 18App for those born in 2001 will be activated: from that date, newly 18 -year-olds will be able to register at www.18app.italia.it until August 31, 2020. They will have until February 28, 2021 to spend the €500 Bonus.

The Bonus allows them to attend theater and film performances, to purchase books and audiovisual publishing products, to visit museums, exhibitions, monuments, galleries, archaeological sites, natural parks, to attend live performances, to participate in cultural events, and to incur costs related to music, theater, or foreign language courses.

Since its first edition in 2016, more than 1.2 million children have taken advantage of the culture bonus, spending more than 550 million euros on cultural products.
