This was announced by Marco Buselli, mayor of the Municipality of Volterra, in whose Pinacoteca Civica the work is kept: “The agreements with the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi provide for the creation of a room dedicated in detail to Rosso’s Deposition, which will host the work when it returns to the city.” “The total intervention is around 36,000 euros and will have to be agreed in detail with the church; this could also be an opportunity to turn the spotlight on the splendid Giorno di Volterra Chapel of the Cross, which first hosted Rosso Fiorentino’s Deposition.
