Poldi Pezzoli Museum launches Quality Time: experiences for all among workshops and play-visits

Thanks to the support of the Baggi Sisini Foundation, the Poldi Pezzoli Museum is launching the Quality Time project: a series of inclusive events, including interactive tours, workshops and laboratories, to make art and culture accessible to all, without barriers of age or experience.

The Poldi Pezzoli Museum inaugurates Quality Time, a cultural project designed to make art accessible to everyone, thanks to the support of the Baggi Sisini Foundation. The initiative, which will run throughout 2025, includes a rich calendar of events included in the ticket price, aimed at audiences of all ages and backgrounds: families, children, teens, adults, seniors, individual visitors and even new parents.

For years, the museum’s Educational Services Department has been successfully experimenting with narrative paths and educational activities that incorporate a playful component into the learning process, thus facilitating interaction with artistic heritage. Based on this experience, Quality Time will offer interactive tours, workshops and laboratories with the aim of transforming the museum into a place of discovery, inclusion and cultural and personal growth.

A museum for everyone

“The museum,” says architect Quarto, "has become to all intents and purposes a place of cultural growth, discovery, experimentation and comparison, but also of social integration without limits of age, gender, language, religion, origin, educational level or physical and intellectual abilities. It is a principle that underlies the Quality Time project, designed not only for regular museum-goers but also for those approaching museums for the first time. The goal is to demonstrate that the Poldi Pezzoli is an open space where anyone can find a stimulating cultural experience within their reach.

In support of the initiative, Baggi Sisini Foundation President Francesco Baggi Sisini stresses the importance of investing in culture as a tool for sharing and collective growth: “Beauty and art have the power to unite, and in this case in a new and innovative way. Together we can transform our love for culture into a shared value, through an emotional journey where art is not only to be observed, but to be experienced, explored and discussed, thus stimulating curiosity and facilitating knowledge.”

Quality Time events will be distributed regularly throughout the year, with appointments set on defined days and times to ensure a consistent cadence and broad time coverage. All activities will be led by cultural mediators or experts in different disciplines, such as writing and reading, to enrich participants’ experience.

The initiatives, varying in length from 30 to 120 minutes, will be divided into different types, including: play-visits, for families, adults and young people, which transform the enjoyment of art into a dynamic and interactive experience; experiential visits and workshop-visits, dedicated to children, with activities that stimulate creativity and active participation; workshops for adults, with focus on writing, reading and drawing, to bring the public closer to artistic and literary production; moments dedicated to new parents, in collaboration with Humanitas St. Pius X, to promote well-being through art and sharing.

The entire Quality Time program, with dates and appointment details, can be found on the official Poldi Pezzoli Museum website at www.museopoldipezzoli.it. An initiative that promises to transform the very concept of museum enjoyment, making it more accessible, engaging and open to all.
