Piet Mondrian's birthplace gets a makeover

Piet Mondrian's birthplace, known as Mondriaanhuis, in Amersfoort became a multimedia museum on the occasion of the De Stijl centennial.

The Mondriaanhuis, the Dutch term for Piet Mondrian’s birthplace, has become a multimedia museum.

To celebrate the centenary of De Stijl, the home that saw the birth of one of the leading exponents of the movement that envisionedabstract art using straight lines and primary colors (blue, red, yellow) combined with black and white, has been renovated through interior redesign by the Tinker imagineers team.

Located in Amersfoort, Holland, the museum welcomes visitors with a large video installation accompanied by the music the artist loved: from Ravel to jazz, Stravinsky to Boogie-Woogie.
The tour continues with letters, photographs and documents to learn about Mondrian’s life and art.
