The Board of Directors of Fondazione CRT, chaired by Fabrizio Palenzona, has resolved to establish the new board of Fondazione per l’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT, naming Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo as its president.
With the appointment of the new board, the intention is to give a renewed course to the foundation, while consolidating its strong vocation for supporting the Turin art system. The new board will work in synergy with cultural and museum institutions, with the aim of making art an enabling factor for Turin’s growth through initiatives of national and international scope.
The newly appointed president, Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, is among the most influential promoters and experts in contemporary art internationally and has long played an active role in various cultural institutions. She is a member of the International Council of the MoMA in New York, the International Council of the Tate Gallery in London, the Leadership Council of the New Museum in New York, and several other museum and exhibition organizations, as well as President of the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo.
The other members of the new board are: Giuseppe Iannaccone, founder of Studio Giuseppe Iannaccone and the modern and contemporary art collection “Collezione Iannaccone,” which for more than 20 years has focused on Italian art of the 1930s and the most contemporary instances of global visual research; and Roberto Spada, founder of Spada & Partners, a collector of contemporary art and photographic works, as well as president of the San Patrignano Foundation. The same Board then appointed as Secretary General of the Foundation Luigi Cerutti, currently CEO of Turin-based Società Editrice Umberto Allemandi, publisher of the monthly Il Giornale dell’Arte and media partner of Artissima.
“I am truly honored,” said newly appointed President Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, “to assume the leadership of the Fondazione per l’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT. Together with the other new board members, we will provide all our experience and know-how to bring art and culture increasingly at the center of the development of the city of Turin. With our work, we want to make ourselves available to the institutions, the citizens and the many art-loving people in our area, strengthening the role of our city as an artistic hub of national and international scope.”
