Today Sunday, Dec. 3, from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m., the Mirror Gallery of Palazzo Spinola in Genoa can be visited with its original candlelight illumination: an unusual event that offers the public a rare opportunity to visit one of the most famous historical environments in the Ligurian city. The candlelight will spread with its effects on the golds, on the mirrors of the gallery, and on the stuccoes, making better understand the functionality of the space with a uniform brightness that allows to better appreciate also Lorenzo De Ferrari’s frescoes.

Access will be through small groups, introduced to the visit by Alessandra Nava, Annalisa Profumo and Beatrice Zulian, National Civil Service workers who will illustrate the role Lorenzo De Ferrari played in the palace: in fact, it was he who was commissioned to renovate the environment between 1734 and 1736, at the behest of Maddalena Doria Spinola.
