Ultra-high-definition digitization in gigapixels for three important works at the National Galleries of Ancient Art in Rome, on the occasion of anniversary number 450 of Caravaggio’s birth, which saw the light of day in Milan in 1571. In particular, ultra-high-definition reproductions will be made of two masterpieces by the Lombard, St. John the Baptist and St. Francis in Meditation, as well as the famous Narcissus, whose attribution to the great artist is, however, much debated today: the works will become part of the virtual collection of Haltadefinizione, which will take care of their acquisition in gigapixels, to give everyone the chance to observe free of charge in great detail the works of art housed in Italian museums, at a time still marked by uncertainty about the reopening of cultural venues.

The three masterpieces will enrich the selection of works by Caravaggio already present on the Haltadefinizione website: in addition to Judith and Holofernes, also kept at Palazzo Barberini, there are in fact other masterpieces kept at the Galleria Borghese in Rome, the Pinacoteca di Brera and the Uffizi Gallery.
