This includes seven places in the historic center that hold wonderful fresco painting cycles from the 14th century, namely the Scrovegni Chapel and the Church of the Eremitani, Palazzo della Ragione, the Cathedral Baptistery and the Chapel of the Reggia Carrarese, the Basilica del Santo, theOratory of St. George and theOratory of St. Michael.
An area where the tradition of mural fresco painting has ancient roots, beginning with Giotto ’s presence in the city and continuing throughout the 4th century.
