Oscars 2020, historic triumph for Parasite, first non-English language film to win best picture

Smith, Matthew A. Cherry and Everett Downing Jr. and best documentary short is Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone (If You’re a Girl) by Carol Dysinger.

Disappointment for The Irishman, a multiple nominee with ten nominations (second only to Joker, which had eleven): no awards for Martin Scorsese’s film.
