Arriving Sept. 30 on Rai Gulp is Leo da Vinci, a TV series sequel to the animated feature Leo da Vinci Mona Lisa Mission.
At the center of the cartoon is a very young Leonardo da Vinci (right in the image), not yet the Renaissance genius we all know, but still a dreamer rich in imagination and courage, who first lands in Florence where he will attend Verrocchio’s workshop and befriend the young Lorenzo de’ Medici and a mysterious girl named Lisa. Adventure and entertainment in the historical setting of 1467 will show young Leonardo’s genius and passion for art and science.
Consisting of 26 episodes, the series is produced by Rai Ragazzi and the companies Alcuni di Treviso, directed by Sergio Manfio, and Cosmos-Maya.
Leo da Vinci will also land in Germany on the public network ARD, while French distribution will be handled by Paris-based All Rights Entertainment.
