On the CHILI platform, the original documentary series on urban and cultural regeneration Art for Change appears among the new releases. It is a project born from an idea of Daniela De Francesco, a scholar of new technologies, which later became an Italian-Spanish co-production, produced by Lumen Films, The Piranesi Experience and Madrid-based Potenza Producciones. Directed by young director Claudio Esposito, it is distributed by Delta Star Pictures in collaboration with CHILI.
The Art For Change series is online not only in Italy but also abroad, in Germany and Austria, Poland and England. The series aims to turn a direct gaze toward cities and their protagonists: citizens, social workers, artists, designers and architects at work in five suburbs between Italy and Spain, who through art try to give them a new meaning, both for the immediate present and the future. Through numerous projects, they revive them, redesigning them to try to improve them and introduce culture and integration. These are stories linked by artistic research in suburban areas, within often marginalized communities. Stories of ordinary people, dreamers, children and artists, for whom art becomes a moment and a space for reflection.
