New director Alessandra Necci takes office today, whom the Estensi Galleries of Modena, Ferrara and Sassuolo welcomes. Alessandra Necci was born in Rome; a historian, author of numerous historical-biographical books on figures such as Maria Theresa of Austria and Marie Antoinette of France, Nicolò Machiavelli, Napoleon, Catherine de’ Medici and Louis XIV, she is a lawyer and lecturer in the Department of Business and Management at Luiss “Guido Carli.”
“Our applause goes to the new director of the Estense Galleries, with whom we hope to collaborate from the beginning in an active and fruitful way for the enhancement of the great heritage of the city’s Pinacoteca, both in a local perspective, with a museum that is a spokesperson for the historical and cultural identity of the territory, and in an international tourism vision,” said Ferrara Mayor Alan Fabbri.
