Museums, all the mergers decided by Bonisoli. Accademia with the Uffizi, Leonardo's Last Supper under Brera

All the state museum mergers decided under the Bonisoli reform: the Florence Academy with the Uffizi, the Last Supper under the Pinacoteca di Brera, and more.

As we anticipated yesterday, the minister of cultural heritage, Alberto Bonisoli, signed the first decree implementing the cultural heritage reform, which was approved last June and published in the Official Gazette last August 7. The two main novelties of the decree are the opening to private individuals and the amalgamation of several museums: some will end up together with other autonomous museums, others will form the new territorial directorates of museum networks, which will be ten in all. The amalgamations on autonomous museums concern the Uffizi Galleries (which will incorporate the Accademia Gallery, which will lose its autonomy, and the San Marco Museum), the Pinacoteca di Brera (which will incorporate the Cenacolo vinciano, where Leonardo da Vinci’sLast Supper is located) the Miramare Park in Trieste (which now includes all the museums of the former regional pole of Friuli-Venezia Giulia), the National Museums of the Marches (which incorporates the National Gallery of the Marches and all the museums of the former regional pole of the Marches), and the National Museums of Umbria (which includes the National Gallery of Umbria and all the museums of the former regional pole of Umbria). In addition, a new entity is established: the National Etruscan Museums. Below is the new arrangement of state museums.
