Miss you like a concert: street artist's writing goes viral

Street artist Gabriele Milani's "I miss you like a concert" has gone viral. Mondolfo promotes the project and replicates the large poster.

Photographer Francesco Luongo released on social media a shot of his street art work that was on a billboard on the Livorno waterfront: it was the inscription"I miss you like a concert" made by Livorno artist Gabriele Milani as a gesture of closeness and tribute to the world of entertainment workers, who have been greatly affected by the restrictions imposed due to the pandemic. Many were pleasantly impressed by the writing, and Luongo’s shot was also widely shared by famous musicians and singers, including Vasco Rossi, Elisa, Laura Pausini, Zen Circus, and many others.

However, the writing has been covered by billboards for a few days.

As soon as it learned the news, the association PAM - Pro Arte Mondolfo, thanks to the contribution of the Councilor with proxy for Culture Enrico Sora, contacted the author of the work, who had already contributed one of his works to the Mondolfo Galleria without Ceiling project, proposing that he consolidate the message with a very simple action: reserve a series of advertising spaces in strategic positions in the municipal territory where to legally post the same image without logos.

So from Feb. 12 to March 3, the large poster, replicated on various billboards, can be seen in the center of Mondolfo already featuring giant photographs by Mario Giacomelli and numerous street art works.

With this symbolic gesture, Pro Arte Mondolfo, in collaboration with the company Atmo of Perugia, which works in the world of entertainment set-ups and which in the Umbrian capital will affix the same poster, intends to relaunch the artistic testimony of Gabriele Milani, hoping that, also in other cities, other companies operating in the chain of events and shows can replicate the initiative.
