Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano has appointed Beatrice Venezi as music adviser. As part of the appointment, Beatrice Venezi will collaborate with the minister’s direct collaboration offices, the General Secretariat and the General Directorate for Entertainment.
Born in 1990, Beatrice Venezi is principal guest conductor of the Orchestra della Toscana and principal conductor of the Orchestra Milano Classica and the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti; she is a member of the Women’s Council of the Pontifical Council for Culture in the 2019-2021 triennium and among the few women in the world to conduct orchestras internationally. She has collaborated with internationally renowned performers and prestigious orchestras such as the Orchestra del Teatro La Fenice, Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, New Japan Philharmonic, Sofia Philharmonic, Filarmonica del Teatro Regio di Torino, Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali, Symphony Orchestra of the National Television and Radio Company of Belarus, and the State Orchestra of Armenia. She has performed in major theaters and festivals.
In 2021 she made her debut at Opéra-Théâtre de Metz Métropole, Opera Holland Park in London, Teatro Coliseo in Buenos Aires, Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, and Teatro Lirico in Cagliari. He has won several awards for his artistic skills and commitment to spreading musical culture among the younger generation (in 2017 he was awarded the Scala d’Oro prize).
