MiBACT launches a Journey in Italy through the cultural heritage of state archives and libraries. A digital campaign featuring images of ornamental, woodland, fruit and floral plants taken from prints and ancient herbaria preserved in state collections for an itinerary through the foundational elements of the Italian landscape: Mediterranean scrub, fruit crops, Apennine and Alpine woodlands.
At the center of the new campaign of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage are the scents and colors of the Mediterranean, the essences and spices one encounters on its shores or on the paths of the Apennines, the aromas of plants capable of triggering memories of past journeys: myrtle, maritime pines, oranges, oleanders, juniper, Scotch pines, beeches, oaks and many other flowers, fruits, plants and spices typical of the Italian territory.
All images come from the rich archival and library collections of MiBACT.
