Great success for the digital flashmob Art you ready? launched by the MiBACT for the whole day on Sunday, March 29: igers communities, influencers, professional or amateur photographers, and visitors of all generations were invited to participate in a big digital event on Instagram. The goal was to share images of Italy’s museums, archaeological parks, libraries and archives, with a preference for those without people, reminding how cultural heritage is still alive, even in this time of health emergency.

With the hashtag #artyouready 39,294 posts were shared, while with the hashtag #emptymuseum there were 27,498 posts.



The social initiative was described by MiBACT as “a river in flood,” “a true digital invasion under the sign of beauty to testify that, although momentarily closed to the public due to the Coronavirus emergency, Italy’s cultural heritage is alive and represents the beating soul of our identity.”
