MiBACT allocates 22 million euros for specialized art and tourism publishing and for providers of guide, audioguide or educational services in museums.

The MiBACT is allocating 22 million euros topublishers specializing in art and tourism and for providers of guide, audioguide or didactic services in museums: 12 million euros, from the resources of the Emergency Fund for Cultural Enterprises and Institutions established by the Ristori Decree Law, to support publishing specializing in art and tourism and 10 million euros, from the same Fund, to support providers of guide, audioguide and didactic services in cultural institutions and places.

“Thus continues the government’s commitment to help businesses operating in the culture and tourism sectors, which have been particularly affected by the pandemic, to cross the desert,” said Minister Franceschini.



A share of 10 million euros of the resources for specialized publishing is earmarked to support enterprises with main ATECO code 58.11.00 that have their registered office in Italy, are registered with the Chamber of Commerce for Industry, Crafts and Agriculture, are in compliance with social security, tax and insurance obligations, do not have bankruptcy proceedings, have published or exclusively distributed at least 10 new publishing in 2019, have at least 30 percent of the catalog of exclusive production and distribution; as for tourism publications, the requirements are that they have at least 30 percent of the catalog of exclusive production or distribution consisting of art publication and facsimile reproductions and have published at least two catalogs of art exhibitions and collections in 2019.

A share of 2 million euros of the resources for specialized publishing is allocated to support enterprises with main ATECO codes 58.11, 58.14 or 58.19 that have their registered office in Italy, are a registered newspaper as of March 1, 2019, are in compliance with social security, tax and insurance contribution obligations, do not have bankruptcy proceedings, and have at least 70 percent of the published content related to the world of art and exhibitions, including editorial content, on print and digital editions, and sectorial advertising sales

Within five days from the date of registration of the decree by the supervisory bodies, the General Directorate of Libraries and Copyright will publish a notice with the procedures and deadlines for submitting applications for grants. Interested parties will apply for contributions, electronically, within 10 days of the publication of the notice, using the forms prepared by the Directorate General.

For the portion of 10 million euros reserved for providers of guide, audioguide and educational services to institutes and places of culture, entities with prevalent activity in these areas or entities with main ATECO code 91.02 or 91.03 operating at institutes and places of culture for the same services, meeting the following requirements, may apply for a contribution: having a registered office in Italy; being in compliance with obligations regarding social security, tax and insurance contributions; and the absence of bankruptcy proceedings.

Within 5 days from the date of registration of the decree by the Control Bodies, the General Directorate of Museums will publish a special notice with the procedures and deadlines for the submission of applications for contributions, as well as for documentary checks and for the allocation of contributions. Interested parties will apply for grants, electronically, within 10 days after the publication of the notice, using the forms prepared by the General Directorate.
