Matera and Naples: attendance steadily increasing

Consistently increasing attendance for two wonderful Italian cities, Matera and Naples.

The former, according to data presented by Centro Studi Turistici di Firenze and Confesercenti, recorded a 176 percent increase in visitors from 2010 to 2017, and the latter a 91 percent increase.

Overall attendance in art cities over the past seven years would be 115.3 million, an increase of 22.8 %.
The largest number of visitors was recorded in museums and monuments in Rome, but 2017 was also a year that gave satisfaction to small towns, which recorded 95 million admissions.
