Taking note of the resignation of the members of the Scientific Committee of the Mart, the Board of Directors chaired by Vittorio Sgarbi has appointed the new members of the Scientific Committee of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto.
They are Stefano Bruno Galli, Giordano Bruno Guerri, Riccardo Muti and Moni Ovadia. The four, informally contacted, have confirmed their membership.
The new committee will be in office for five years and operational as soon as possible to facilitate the smooth running of activities and confirmation of the exhibition program.
According to the Museum’s Rules and Regulations, the members are responsible for “contributing to the definition of the general guidelines of the Museum’s scientific activity; expressing opinions and evaluations regarding the annual and multi-year program of activities as well as individual scientific initiatives or cultural exchange operations; and expressing opinions and evaluations regarding individual scientific initiatives or cultural exchange operations as well.”
Stefano Bruno Galli is Assessore all’Autonomia e Cultura of the Lombardy Region. He teaches History of Political Doctrines and Theories and History of Democracy at the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Milan.
Giordano Bruno Guerri is an academic, historian and journalist. He is president and general director of the Fondazione Vittoriale degli Italiani, president of the Fondazione Opera Pia Carità laicale, director of MuSa, Museo di Salò and founder of the GardaMusei association.
Riccardo Muti, among the leading international conductors, was music director of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. He is currently music director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra.
Moni Ovadia, actor, musician and writer, has performed in major Italian theaters. He collaborates with major film directors, television, radio and newspapers and has received major honors, including honorary degrees from the University of Pavia and the University of Palermo.
