Shooting will start next September on the art film celebrating the great Leonardo da Vinci for the 500th anniversary of his death.

Inside Leonardo, this is the still provisional title of the film, will in fact be released in 2019 in Italian theaters with Lucky Red, on TV on Sky and then distributed in other countries.

Playing Leonardo da Vinci will be actor Luca Argentero, who for the first time will play the role of a real-life character in a biographical art film.
The film will be set mainly in Florence, Vinci and the Tuscan countryside, Milan, Rome and France.

Inside Leonardo is produced by Sky with Progetto Immagine; scientific advice was provided by Pietro C.Marani, full professor of History of Modern Art and Museology at the Milan Polytechnic, as well as president of the Ente Raccolta Vinciana of the Castello Sforzesco in Milan and a member of the National Vinci Commission for the publication of Leonardo’s works; art direction is by Cosetta Lagani, screenplay by Sara Mosetti and Marcello Olivieri in collaboration with Miriam Mosetti and Oliviero del Papa, and direction is by Jesus Garces Lambert.
