The reproduction of the David will go to Dubai to be placed at the center of Italy’s Pavilion at the upcoming Expo. Over the next 12 months the making of the reproduction itself is planned so as to offer visitors and as a legacy of Expo 2020 Dubai the representation of the multidisciplinary skills involved in this complex operation.

The scientific curatorship of the project will be from the University of Florence, which will oversee the process of digital data acquisition of the statue up to the milling of the totally natural plastic material that will give it shape, and which will involve scientists, technicians, curators, artisans, lecturers and university students in the coming months.
