Ingres exhibition will donate part of the proceeds to the reconstruction of Notre-Dame

Solidarity is also being activated in Italy for the Notre-Dame Cathedral, whose roof was destroyed during a fire. In particular, Civita has decided that on every ticket of the exhibition on Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres currently underway in Milan’s Palazzo Reale, one euro will be donated to the reconstruction of the Cathedral.

The gesture is also meant to be a sign of gratitude toward the patronage granted by the French Embassy, and is based, a note says, on the “spirit of an exhibition founded on Italian-French collaboration.” Monies will be collected from Saturday, April 20 until the end of the exhibition, set for June 23, 2019.
