It’s an augmented reality filter from the Google Arts & Culture app, it’s called “Art Filter,” and it turns your selfie or video into a famous work of art: for example, a portrait of Van Gogh or Frida Kahlo, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, and there’s even the possibility of wearing a samurai helmet or an Egyptian pharaoh’s necklace.

The works to frolic with have been made available by museums such as the Metropolitan in New York, the Musée d’Orsay, the Royal Ontario Museum and others. To try this tool, just download the Google Arts & Culture app from Android or iOS.
