A support to cultural workers to cope with the increases in consumption and the decrease in workers’ purchasing power: the company Opera Laboratori, among the first in Italy for the promotion and management of Italy’s artistic-cultural heritage, and the publishing house Sillabe have decided this. In fact, the boards of directors of the two companies have decided to provide aid amounting to 600 euros net to all employees, as support and closeness to their families.
The extraordinary measure, scheduled for next December, affects the more than 700 employees of the two groups, who work on a daily basis in such prominent museum and ecclesiastical realities on the Italian scene as the Uffizi, Palazzo Pitti, Boboli Gardens, Galleria dell’Accademia and the entire Polo Museale Fiorentino; the Archaeological Park of Pompeii, the Reggia di Caserta, the Pinacoteca di Brera, the Complesso Monumentale del Duomo di Siena and the major cultural sites in the Siena area; and the Umbrian circuit with the Museums of the City of Assisi.
A choice that Opera Laboratori and Sillabe have made, they let it be known, to confirm “the vision attentive to corporate welfare, pursued by the two companies through a culture of care that looks to the dignity, respect and professionalism of its employees, even while maintaining a stable confrontation with union representatives.”
“We believe in the great value of culture as a factor of personal growth and improvement,” comments Beppe Costa, president of Opera Laboratories. “That’s why we try to incentivize it with our daily work to enhance and safeguard it. In addition to our commitment to sustainability, we are convinced that we have contributed to creating a renewed profit model. We hope that these values can guide the strategies of an increasing number of entrepreneurial realities, certain that the real wealth of companies are the people, the employees: the human face of the enterprise.”
