Florence Biennale Internazionale dell'Antiquariato postponed to 2022

Edition number 32 of the Florence Biennale Internazionale dell'Antiquariato has been postponed to 2022: the historic venue, Palazzo Corsini, is in fact unable to allow for physical spacing.

Postponed due to Covid-19 the XXXII edition of the Florence Biennale Internazionale dell’Antiquariato: although the event was scheduled for the fall, and at the moment we cannot therefore know how the epidemiological situation will evolve, the organizing committee has deemed that the historic venue of the Biennale, Palazzo Corsini, is unable to guarantee the indispensable safety conditions for gallerists and the public. The building is the only historic residence to host an art fair, but it cannot allow for the physical spacing that will probably still be needed in September and October. So edition number 32 is postponed until 2022, from Sept. 24 to Oct. 2, still at Palazzo Corsini.

“We want to welcome gallerists and collectors from Italy and the rest of the world to Florence in safety and serenity,” says Fabrizio Moretti, secretary general of the Florence Biennale Internazionale dell’Antiquariato, “offering them the opportunity, as is the tradition and uniqueness of BIAF, not only to enjoy the countless artistic beauties that the city can offer but also the more festive events organized in the villas and palaces that are highly appreciated especially by foreign collectors.”

The Biennale is not limited to exhibition activities inside Palazzo Corsini, but offers a cultural program and collateral events promoted in close collaboration with the City of Florence, other cultural bodies and partners. With 2022, the Florence Biennale Internazionale dell’Antiquariato is counting on being able to bring to life, once again, an edition that lives up to its reputation.
