Yesterday afternoon, June 20, around 3:30 p.m., a fire broke out at the Royal Palace in Turin.
It was allegedly caused by an electric generator located in a basement of the Palace, thus affecting the area of the building toward the gardens.
Amidst the fright of those present, six firefighting teams arrived shortly afterwards to extinguish the fire.
Fortunately, the damage sustained was limited.
Today the Royal Museums of Turin are closed for investigations into the cause of the fire, while the Royal Library is open as usual. No damage to visitors, staff or works.
