Minister Franceschini proudly commented, "Every year, on March 25, the date that scholars recognize as the beginning of the Divine Comedy’s journey into the afterlife, we will celebrate Dante Tuesday. A day to remember throughout Italy and the world the genius of Dante with many initiatives that will see a strong involvement of schools, students and cultural institutions. With one year to go until the 700th anniversary celebration of Dante’s death, there are already many projects under consideration by the Celebration Committee chaired by Professor Carlo Ossola. Dante remembers many things that hold us together: Dante is the unity of the country, Dante is the Italian language, Dante is the very idea of Italy."
