There is time until July 20 to apply for the 2020 edition of the Taiwan International Student Design Competition, the largest international design competition

Students around the world can participate in the largest international design competition sponsored by TISDC Taiwan International Student Design Competition and the Taiwan Ministry of Education. The theme of this 13th edition is Take Action, which is inspired by the directions of one of the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda and calls forconcrete action to achieve the goals of sustainability.

To apply for the 2020 Taiwan International Student Design Competition you must submit your project by July 20, choosing from three categories: Product Design, Visual Design and Digital Animation.



The objective of the competition, organized by the Taiwan Ministry of Education with the collaboration of Taiwan University and under the sponsorship of the iSee Taiwan Foundation, Sayling Wen Cultural & Educational Foundation and Industrial Technology Research Institute, is to encourage international design exchange and new talent, establish Taiwan’s international image in the cultural landscape, and emphasize its cultural vibrancy, focus on new trends and sustainability.

Participation is open to students enrolled in junior high schools, colleges and institutes, including graduates in 2020 under the age of 30; it is online and free of charge.
The total prize money is US$150,000, divided among one Grand Prize, one Gold Prize, one Silver Prize, three Bronze Prizes, and twenty-one prizes and honorable mentions for the three categories, sponsored by sponsors, plus the new Environmental Sustainability Award from the TPCA Environment Foundation.

To nominate your project, you must register at www.tidsc.org: the first selection of entrants will take place by the end of August 2020, while the finalists will be announced in mid-September. They will then enter the final selection, which will take place by October, and the awards ceremony is scheduled by the end of November 2020.
