Bachelot also pointed out that the new obligation for Internet platforms to finance film and audiovisual creation would represent a contribution of “150-200 million a year” for Netflix. The minister had already announced in late October that subscription-based video platforms would have to invest in the production of French or European works to the tune of 20-25 percent of revenues.
