The risk of Covid-19 coronavirus infection is still too high, and as a result, gatherings should be avoided as much as possible. For this reason, the Ministry of Health issued an order, published yesterday in the Official Gazette, suspending free Sundays at museums.
The measure was taken following a report from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, which let the Ministry of Health know that a suspension of the initiative would be necessary to better implement measures to reduce and contain the risk related to health emergencies. The Health Ministry’s order is justified in view of the changing epidemiological situation at the international level and the particularly widespread nature of the Covid-19 epidemic.
This is the text of the order of the Ministry of Health: “For the purpose of containing the spread of the COVID-19 virus, without prejudice to the provisions of the Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers August 7, 2020, as extended by the Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers September 7, 2020, the effectiveness of the regulatory provisions of Art. 4, paragraph 2, second sentence, of the Decree of the Minister of Cultural and Environmental Heritage No. 507 of December 11, 1997, which provides for free access to all state institutes and places of culture on the first Sunday of the month.”
