Could you recognize a work by its shape alone? It's MiBACT's new digital game

At the end of the first week of the reopening of some of Italy's museums, MiBACT is launching the new digital game "Silhouettes of Art."

MiBACT launches a new game: art silhouettes. A true digital challenge in line with the various gamification experiences proposed by many museums to experiment with languages that can engage new audiences.

Can you recognize works of art simply by their shape? Test yourself with the twenty-six mystery silhouettes to be guessed by next week. An art quiz that MiBACT is offering at the end of the first week of the reopening of cultural venues, which has made more than eighty cultural institutions including museums, libraries and state archives accessible again. Through this digital game, everyone is invited to search for works of art, kept in state museums and archaeological parks, among the silhouettes posted on MiBACT’s social channels: from the most famous shape to the most curious, from the hidden detail to the unmistakable profile. Participants should indicate the title of the work and the place where it is kept, so as to continue the journey among the collections of Italian state museums.

The identity of the masterpieces will be revealed next week.
