TheItalian Association of Archives and Enterprise Museums is offering virtual tours of its member museums and archives.
So Museimpresa, too, joins the many cultural associations and museum institutions that are offering an alternative way to spread the culture of our country during the health emergency that is rampant these days.
“Museimpresa joins the chorus of all those who with theaters, with music, with cultural initiatives keep this country alive,” says Museimpresa President Antonio Calabrò. “In this difficult time of crisis, the contribution of culture is essential and indispensable, to continue to be together even if we are physically distant. Italian business archives and museums contain extraordinary stories, of women and men who invented, experimented, produced, built wealth, work and social relations. You will find these stories on the Museimpresa network and on the sites of our nearly 100 members. This country has known dramatic seasons in its history, we have always risen again because among the elements of our strength is creativity, an extraordinary solidarity and being able to produce a broad, popular culture, strongly linked to our territories.”
These virtual tours include visits to theAboca Museum, the Banco di Napoli Historical Archives, the Ducati Museum, the Pietrarsa National Railway Museum, the Martini House and the Mumac - Coffee Machine Museum, to name a few.
Of particular note is the Pirelli Foundation, whose tour includes the archives containing documents that testify to the history of the Pirelli group, the consultation room, where one can admire Renato Guttuso’s famous mosaic La Ricerca scientifica, and the open space that narrates, with multimedia installations, “advertising with a capital P,” or Pirelli’s signature communication in its decades-long history. In addition, the Foundation, as stated in a note, "is enriched with fondazionepirellipodcasts, to listen to tales of racing, products and champions but also of technology, innovation, welfare, art, graphics and design. A guide for the user is also the ’Enter the Foundation’ function, for direct access to all the site’s service tools, such as searching within the online Historical Archives and libraries or assistance with consultation. Digital communication will also be expanded on the Foundation’s official social channels, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, with a constantly updated schedule."
